True Copy Of The Original, manipulation on 35 mm dia pozitif, 2017-(ongoing series)
Remembrance, memory, and history are concepts that I’ve been long utilizing in my work and searching for a visual language. I often use found photographs and diapositives in the works I produced in this context. Photographs are re-invited through manipulations while carrying along traces of the past as well. These attempts to distort and to leave a mark subject the photograph to a novel reading over other disciplines. This effort on its own presents the photograph as an imagery that is not limited to time, as a silent dialogue that lives in the present and keeps being inherited from one generation to another.
